Training Sessions

LIPFC teams train three times a week, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Our training sessions are not optional. All players must attend every session (if a player can't make a session please notify me with reason why a player can’t attend). We do understand that there are other important things such as, health, school and family.  We take our training serious because we want our players to improve and the only way to improve is to train. Players U9 and older earn their playing time in training.

LIPFC goalies do receive all the technical training with their team on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. No need to pay extra for any goalie training out of your pocket. LIPFC pays for a dedicated goalie trainer. 

Have your player or players come ready with plenty water as our sessions are intense.

Players do not need to bring a ball to practice. LIPFC provides them for the players.

Outdoor Training Sessions:

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: North East ES: 420 Albany Ave, Amityville, NY 11701

 

Wednesday:

Warm up, speed and agility, (with and without ball).

Technical work:

Ball mastery, dribbling, turns to play back or forward, passing and receiving.

5:00pm: u6, 10/u7, 09/u8, 08/u9, 07/u10

5:30pm: 05/u12

6:30pm: 06/u11, 06/u11 II, 04/u13, 03/u14, 02/u15, 01/u16

Thursday:

Change of direction, aerial control, pass & movement to space, shooting, and controlled scrimmage.

Goalie Training

5:00pm: u6, 10/u7, 09/u8, 08/u9, 07/u10

5:30pm: 05/u12

6:30pm: 06/u11, 06/u11 II, 04/u13, 03/u14, 02/u15, 01/u16

 

Friday:

Warm up, Preparing for game.

5:00pm: u6, '10/u7, 09/u8, 08/u9, 07/u10

5:30pm: 05/u12

6:30pm: 06/u11, 06/u11 II, 04/u13, 03/u14, 02/u15, 01/u16

 

Winter Training: Check under LIPFC supplemental training 

Thursday:

Warm up, ball mastery, passing and receiving, aerial control, headers.

 

Friday:

Warm up, ball mastery, small sided games.
